Waterproof, durable and available in wood and stone looks, luxury vinyl plank suits busy homes.
Luxury vinyl plank, or LVP, is made of layers: a wear layer on top, a printed image and a rigid or flexible core. The result looks like wood or stone, resists water and stands up to scratches, which is why it is so popular in kitchens, baths, basements and rentals.
Wear layer thickness and core construction decide how a product performs. Rigid-core products hide small subfloor flaws better. All vinyl needs a flat, clean base, and glued or click-lock systems each have their place.
