Good tile work is flat, straight and lasts for decades. Bad tile work cracks, hollows and leaks within a few years. The difference is nearly always what happens before the tile goes down: surface prep, waterproofing and layout.
We install ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and mosaic tile on floors, walls and showers. We also repair cracked, loose and missing tile and re-grout worn joints. Surfaces are flattened, waterproofed where required and set in the right mortar with proper grout joints.
Floors are made flat and stiff enough for tile. Showers get a waterproof membrane, not just cement board and hope. This is where long-lasting tile work is won or lost.
We find the center lines, dry-lay the pattern and plan cuts so the tile is balanced and no sliver pieces are left at the edge of a room or a wall.
We match tile where we can, remove cracked pieces and set replacements. Worn grout is raked out and replaced so the surface looks fresh and sheds water.
Always keep a few spare tiles and a bag of grout from your install. If a tile cracks years later, a matching replacement is hard to find.
