Trim & Molding Installation

Baseboards, crown, chair rail, wainscoting and casing that finish a room and add character.

Trim is the difference between a room that is finished and a room that is simply painted. Crisp baseboards, wide casings, a chair rail or full wainscoting give walls structure and make a house feel more expensive than it is.

We install baseboard, door and window casing, crown molding, picture rail, board-and-batten and wainscoting in wood, MDF and PVC. Miters are tight, caulk lines are clean and nail holes are filled, so the paint finish looks smooth and crisp.

Tight joints

Corners are coped or mitered to fit actual wall angles, not ideal ones. That is why our joints stay closed through seasonal movement.

Right material for the room

Wood for stained or traditional work, MDF for smooth paint finish, PVC for baths and exterior trim. We explain the trade-offs and choose with you.

Ready for paint

Trim is installed, caulked and filled so it is ready for paint, or we can prime and paint it for you for a complete finished look.

Choosing profiles

Taller baseboards and wider casings make a room feel more substantial. We bring profile samples so you can hold them against the wall and choose a scale that suits the ceiling height and style.

Questions

Trim & Molding FAQ

What is the difference between wainscoting styles?

Shaker panels, board-and-batten and beadboard each suit different houses. We show samples and help you choose.

Can you install crown molding on uneven ceilings?

Yes. We scribe and shim so the crown looks continuous even where the ceiling is not level.

Do you paint the trim after installing?

We can. Many clients prefer a single crew to install and paint for a clean, consistent finish.

Can you replace just the baseboards?

Yes. Replacing baseboards is one of the easiest ways to refresh a room.

How tall should my baseboards be?

Many homes look good with five to seven inch baseboards. We hold samples against your wall to decide.
